St. Benedict's will host Evening Prayer for the Harvest of Hope Area Catholic Community on Sunday evening, June 5, to close out the Easter season.
Pentecost Evening Prayer is the last liturgy of the Easter season, so we celebrate it with joy! We will pray Evening Prayer from the Liturgy of the Hours together, with special music by our choirs and instrumentalists and candle lighting.
When we finish praying, we'll move the party outside for a bonfire with s'mores. All of this music and fire is fun, but it also reminds us that the Holy Spirit burns among us as a community in the same way it did for the first apostles, gathered in that upper room, praying together. May our time together inspire us and renew our vision for ministry and for being the Body of Christ in this place and in this time.
